Astonishing ACKS – Pictish Painted Warrior

(I picked up the Pictish Warrior book from Osprey Publishing for my birthday and was inspired to write up this custom class.)

Painted Warrior

A Pictish Painted Warrior is instantly recognizable by the magic tattoos that scar his skin. It is his destiny is to die with weapon in hand, and the only question is how many corpses will surround his own on the final day. (Half-Blood Painted Warriors sport Tlingit tattoos and wield different weapons.)

(This class is a variant of the Dwarven Fury and includes abilities from both the Pict Barbarian and Berserker custom classes.)

HD 2 (d8), Fighting 2 (7 trade-offs).

Base XP: 1000 + 1000 (+ 1050 875) = 3050 2850 for 2nd level.

One Response to Astonishing ACKS – Pictish Painted Warrior

  1. K-Slacker says:

With the extreme XP requirement, I’m not sure if this class would work well in play. They’ve also got a bit of a mismatch between the melee-only bonus and ranged tribal weapons like dart, javelin, short bow, and sling/bola.

Still, the Tlingit Half-Blood variant is badass enough that I’d gladly play one.
