Shaman Spells

Shamans have access to different divine spells than clerics of Law, as described in the following tables. Instead of a holy symbol, a shaman must have a specially-prepared fetish to cast spells.

1st Level Divine Spells (Shaman)

1. Animal Friendship Calms (2d4 + lvl) HD of animals.
2. Create Water Creates 2 gallons/lvl of pure water.
3. Delay Poison Stops poison from harming subject for 1 hour/lvl.
4. Detect Magic Detects spells and magic items within 60 ft.
5. Light/Darkness 30-ft. radius area suffused with light/shadow.
6. Message Whispered conversation at distance.
7. Pass Without Trace One subject/lvl leaves no tracks.
8. See Invisibility Reveals invisible creatures or objects.

Inverse Dots

2nd Level Divine Spells (Shaman)

1. Charm Animal Makes one animal your friend.
2. Cure/Cause Light Wounds Cures/causes 1d8 damage +1/level (max +5).
3. Entangle Plants entangle everyone in 40-ft. radius.
4. Heat/Chill Metal Affected metal damages those who touch it.
5. Hold Animal Paralyzes up to three animals for 4 rounds +1/lvl.
6. Produce Flame 1d8 damage +1/lvl, touch or thrown.
7. Speak With Animals You can communicate with animals.
8. Warp Wood Bends wood (shaft, handle, door, plank).

3rd Level Divine Spells (Shaman)

1. Assume Animal Form Change form into natural animal (max HD = lvl).
2. Call Lightning Calls down lightning bolts (3d6 per bolt) from sky.
3. Cure/Cause Disease Cures all diseases affecting subject/inflicts subject with disease.
4. Daylight/Deeper Darkness 60-ft. radius of bright light (equivalent to sunlight)/supernatural shadow.
5. Neutralize Poison Immunizes subject against poison, detoxifies venom in or on subject.
6. Plant Growth Grows vegetation, improves crops.
7. Resist Energy +3 on saves and half damage from all energy attacks (fire, cold, electricity, etc.).
8. Water Breathing Subjects can breathe underwater.

4th Level Divine Spells (Shaman)

1. Call Spirit Summons a spirit to serve you.
2. Cure/Cause Serious Wounds Cures/inflicts 3d8 damage +1/level (max +15).
3. Dispel Magic Cancels spells and magical effects
4. Remove/Bestow Curse Frees object or person from curse/inflicts curse upon target.
5. Speak With Plants You can talk to normal plants and plant creatures.
6. Tree Stride Step from one tree to another far away.

    Note that shamans have some flexibility when it comes to reversible versions of spells (Cure/Cause Wounds, Light/Darkness, etc.). They must decide which version of the spell to prepare beforehand; a shaman can’t change his mind while casting.
