The folks who set up Underground Con are putting on a charity gaming event later this year in Calgary. 24 Hours of Gaming runs from Saturday December 1st to Sunday December 2nd at the Trilogy Gaming Club.
Here’s the promo blurb for the event:
On Dec. 1, 10 am to Dec. 2, 10 am at Trilogy Gaming Club, Underground Con will be hosting 24 Hours of Gaming for Charity. Please sign up and check it out.
If you want to run anything for the event, we’re asking for a $20 minimum donation from players, GMs, and even Underground Con organizers! All proceeds will go to support the Mustard Seed.
I’m going to run a session of Barrowmaze using the Labyrinth Lord rules. I’ve decided to play over two slots, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 1st.
You can register for the event on Warhorn at: http://warhorn.net/24-hours-of-gaming-for-charity-2012/. Here’s the link to the game description: http://warhorn.net/24-hours-of-gaming-for-charity-2012/scenario/list.php#12. (If you register to play, remember that I’m running it over two sessions.)
I’m picturing this as a casual drop in / drop out type of game, with some players trying it out for an hour or two (at least until their character dies) and will encourage new gamers to participate.
If I rope enough of my current players into the game, then I’ll set it in the same campaign world as Mutants & Magic and use the Mutants & Mazes variant from Mutant Future. Otherwise, I’ll go vanilla fantasy.
